Every road we repair, every fence we build, every scout we train, every member of the community we involve…and every tourist we invite to experience these community rhino is creating a safe future for these rhinos. Their new home Two more male rhinos will be brought to Sanctuary 2a, an extension of sanctuary 2. In May 2026, a pack of painted dogs killed a baby impala in Ngamo community rhino sanctuary. Thuza and Kusasa have probably never seen a painted dog...and painted dogs have never seen rhinos, so what followed next was a unique encounter of curious animals! Four years ago, two white rhinos were brought to communal lands south of Hwange National Park. Over the last four years Thuza and Kusasa have been the stars of Ngamo, providing guests from all over the world with unforgettable experiences and benefiting local communities in many ways. Since 22 May 2022 our Community Rhino Conservation Initiative has expanded. Thuza and Kusasa have two more white rhino neighbours and we have another 2,800 hectares of community land allocated

People from all around the world, as well as from the local area, come and spend time with our rhinos. They are celebrities, posing for photos and videos, sometimes mid-wallow, or while they graze...sometimes they don't even bother to wake up for the camera! Some groups spend time with the rhinos a little bit differently - looking at their every detail (as much as possible!) and taking the time to try to put on paper not only what they look like, but also capture their energy
